As a 2021 Summer Intern with FIS, you will have the opportunity to participate in team projects, community service activities, social events, professional development seminars and work alongside team mentors. This is a full time (40hrs/week) paid internship that will begin on June 7, 2021 and conclude on August 13, 2021.

About The Team

You will be a part of Data Technology Services Organization which caters to the data needs of Merchant services and Banking verticals of FIS. Primary focus of the organization is to partner with our business stakeholders, understand their data needs and build products and solutions that can be monetized and help identify revenue synergies. Broad range of technology stack including Big Data Platform - Hadoop cluster, Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) tools - IBM DataStage, Business Intelligence (BI) Visualization tools - Tableau, WebFocus, and Cloud-based solutions - Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Snowflake.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Achieve solid understanding of data flow, process and transformation
  • Design & Develop ETL / ELT processes in DataStage for Relational Database / Big Data Ecosystem (using Spark, Hive, HDFS, Impala, and any other NoSQL technologies)
  • Develop Database queries and scripts on Relational databases such as Oracle, DB2
  • Create reports / dashboards / visualizations with Tableau / WebFocus
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts / Senior Developers to fine tune jobs / code for better performance
  • Gain experience working in Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

What You Bring

  • Rising Senior (graduating December 2021 through May 2022)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Well versed in SQL (Structured Query Language)
  • Self-motivated and willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
