We are a regulatory bank. This internship gives you the opportunity to intern for a bank that supervises other banks.

 

Internship Program Details:

The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago Summer Intern Program is a paid internship that is open to undergraduate, graduate and PHD students.  It begins in June and continues for 12 consecutive weeks. Interns work 40 hours per week and are assigned to one department. 

 

*Students who are currently taking a gap year or gap semester due to the COVID-19 pandemic remain eligible for this program.

 

Typical Day:

Project oriented hands on assignments and professional development activities including a volunteer project. Interns receive a solid overview of the Fed while contributing to their designated Bank department.

Intern-Strategic Planning&Support

The SP&S team supports the Administrative Services' operational areas of Facilities Management, Hospitality Services and the Law Enforcement Unit (LEU) in their mission of providing a secure, comfortable, hospitable environment that is innovatively forward focused, enabling staff to achieve the Bank's mission. 

 

Job Responsibilities

  1. Review/ understand processes and procedures

  2. Provide process improvements guidance

  3. Learn, understand and apply Change Management

  4. Gather and analyze data, problem solve, report and present data and coordinate efforts of a project

  5. Support Business Analysts with operational tasks

 

Job Requirements

  1. Intern experience/ corporate exposure

  2. Strong communication/ collaboration

  3. Process improvement understanding

  4. Technical skills

  5. Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft suite skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
