Internship Program Details:
The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago Summer Intern Program is a paid internship that is open to undergraduate, graduate and PHD students. It begins in June and continues for 12 consecutive weeks. Interns work 40 hours per week and are assigned to one department.
*Students who are currently taking a gap year or gap semester due to the COVID-19 pandemic remain eligible for this program.
Typical Day:
Project oriented hands on assignments and professional development activities including a volunteer project. Interns receive a solid overview of the Fed while contributing to their designated Bank department.

Intern-S&R Data Analytics
The Wholesale division supports stress testing executed by the Federal Reserve as well as provides stakeholders with information on factors of fluctuation in the wholesale industry. The Wholesale Data Science Analytics Team supports a range of technical products that contribute to assessing the state of the wholesale sector. This team manages data sources and provides connections and tools that help the analysis and visualization of wholesale industry.
Job Responsibilities
Provide support in writing and testing data connections
Assist with writing scripts to Extract, Transform and Load Data (ETL)
Monitor and support technical issues on analytical tools
Execute user acceptance testing
Assist in ad hoc technical requests
Job Requirements
Undergraduate level
Has studied Computer Science or Data Science
SQL skills
Experience with one or more Data Science Programming languages (Python, R, Scala)
Basic understanding of software development for Cloud Technologies (Infrastructure-as-code, DevOps, Source Control Management)
