Chicago Marriott Burr Ridge is looking for J1 Hospitality Interns!

This 12-month program will take place at Chicago Marriott Burr Ridge Hotel where associates will learn all aspects of Hotel Operations. Full time Hours are available as well as housing with meal is provided for 3 month.

Internship will include rotation through all departments as well as training on Financial Aspects of property Management. After Completion of the training associate will have hands on experience and understanding of managing full service property as well as leadership experience.

In addition, being this part of cultural exchange program trainee will be exposed to American culture, have time for travel and explore tourist activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or equivalent required; College degree in Hospitality Management
• Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
• Possess a positive and upbeat personality with a desire to deliver outstanding customer service to our guests.
• Demonstrate the ability to multi-task be detail-oriented and be able to problem solve in order to effectively deal with internal and external customers.
• Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
• Must work well in stressful high pressure situations
• Must be effective at listening to understanding and clarifying the issues raised by co-workers and guests.
• Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions.
• Ability to read comprehend and write simple instructions and/or short correspondence and memos
• Must be willing and have the ability to work a varied schedule that may include evenings nights weekends and holidays
• Holds an understanding of hotel products and guest services (i.e. lifestyle full service resort etc)

Compensation $17/h
