At Nixon Peabody, our priority is to attract, retain, and promote talented individuals from a wide range of racial, ethnic, social, economic, religious, and personal backgrounds, genders and sexual orientations. Therefore, we encourage talented individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences to apply.

NP's Global Finance practice group handles transactions ranging from small financings for start-up ventures to multi-billion dollar financings for large, established companies. We advise domestic and international banks, specialty finance companies, private equity sponsors, and more.

We are seeking a 2nd year law student to join us as a legal intern during spring/summer 2024. This is a paid part-time internship working with our Global Finance Practice Group, Corporate Trust Team. The successful candidate will be based in our Boston office and will have prior finance and/or banking experience along with a strong interest in pursuing a legal career in finance.

Our interns provide legal research, writing, and other substantive support, including reviewing and synthesizing primary case materials, for our attorneys on projects that are both challenging and exciting. Interns will be paired with a partner mentor and receive real-time feedback. We also offer various training programs - both practice and office specific - throughout the duration of the program.

Qualified candidates will have strong academic credentials (3.0 GPA or higher), superb judgment and communication skills, excellent legal writing skills, and a commitment to providing excellent client services. While there is no guarantee of post-graduation employment, this is an excellent opportunity to gain substantive experience at an international law firm.

Interested applicants must submit a cover letter detailing why they are interested in this specific opportunity with Nixon Peabody. Veterans, individuals with disabilities, first generation law students, LGBTQ+, and racial/ethnically diverse individuals are encouraged to apply. Please create an application and submit your resume along with your cover letter and law school transcripts.
