Qualifications

VNE, LLC is looking for a Secret Cleared Configuration Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

  • HS diploma or GED and accredited Configuration Management Certification

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in configuration management or logistics
  • Experience with performing functions, including Life Cycle Management and Planning, Configuration Identification, Configuration Control, Configuration Verification and Audit, or Data Management
  • Knowledge of the software release process
  • Knowledge of Configuration Management technology operating systems, including Windows, Sybase, or Oracle based products.
  • Secret clearance

Additional Quals Desired:

  • 5+ years of experience as a configuration manager supporting IT programs.
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems

Job Description:

VNE is seeking a Configuration Manager to support the research & development, test and evaluation, fielding, documentation development, configuration management, software engineering and integration, training, fielding and sustainment, cybersecurity, and program management of United States Marine Corps Signals Intelligence programs. Leverage modern configuration, application, and life cycle management tools and processes to maintain version control for hardware, software and documentation. Maintain ownership of the project's Configuration Management Plan, facilitate Configuration Control Boards, and support the establishment of the Configuration Management Library. Provide support for planning and producing a process for reporting and recording changes to installed baseline equipment. Coordinate the interaction between engineering, integration team, logistics, and program management to ensure appropriate changes are documented.

Essential Duties of the Job:

  • Ability to communicate task requirement information to client in a clear and concise manner.
  • Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time, as well as lead and participate in meetings and working groups.
  • Requires visual acuity to use a keyboard.
  • Must be able to attend work each day, during scheduled hours, unless on travel or approved time off.
  • Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face-to-face.

  • While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
  • Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • May be exposed to chemicals related to office equipment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (i.e. general office environment).
