About The Opportunity
In a team environment, provide direction to a designated team while providing a safe operation. Communicate any issues involving quality, production or safety to the Production Lead or Supervisor.Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Leads a welding line in all aspects of Safety, Quality and Production
* Welding Line Lead will direct 7-10 welders on the line
* Ensure a safe work area for the team. They are expected to model safe behaviors and coach their team members as needed.
* Weld Line Lead monitors production flow on the weld line, troubleshoot issues and recommend line improvements
* Responsible for the quality of work produced by his/her line. Expected to address issues real time, always coaching, not criticizing. Following up with your internal customer to ensure satisfaction.
* Accountable for the productivity coming off the line. Productivity numbers will be determined by the Supervisor in partnership with the lead based off time studies. Right the first time... we go faster by going slower.
* Working weld line leader must be able to perform all the tasks asked of his or her team.
* Expected to role model behaviors according to the handbook.
