Overview

E2 Consulting Engineers is a diversified provider of engineering, environmental consulting, oil and gas pipeline engineering, infrastructure operations & maintenance and remediation services. We have an immediate need for an experienced and skilled Business Development/Marketing Professional to support our Federal Division located in Aiken, SC. The ideal candidate will possess a wide range of skills centered around strategic analysis, business development, and marketing in support of contract opportunities in the Department of Energy (DOE) and the Department of Defense (DOD) markets. Responsibilities include small business program management, proposal development, and corporate administrative support. Candidates must be detailed oriented, flexible, enthusiastic, and a team player with a focus on customer service. Some travel associated with business development (conferences, summits, etc.) will be required for the position.

Responsibilities
    Identify potential clients in target market and complete appropriate research on prospective client's needs.
  • Facilitate strategic bid/no bid decisions on potential Federal opportunities.
  • Partner with internal and external teams to develop contract-winning proposals for current and prospective clients.
  • Monitor procurement and forecasting sites for contracting opportunities and complete market research.
  • Track/update forecasted Sources Sought (SS), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Qualifications/Information (RFQ/I), and other procurement forecasts.
  • Participate in client debriefings and distribute lessons learned to improve performance.
  • Coordinate and support contract transition activities.
  • Prepare marketing materials and presentations.
  • Develop project and service specific resumes and project descriptions.
  • Maintain electronic proposal and marketing information repositories.
  • Coordinate strategically identified conferences, including the preparation of exhibitor materials, events planning, and capture planning.
  • Provide management or administrative support for corporate activities to include Small Business Program Management.
  • Participate in corporate Small Business Administration Mentor-Protege Program development activities.
  • Assist with recruitment and placement of personnel.
  • Oversee GSA contract management and reporting.
  • Register and maintain corporate System for Awards Management (SAM) accounts and federal supplier registration activities.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess a minimum of 4-7 years of professional services marketing and proposal experience.
  • Experience in federal contracting in the Department of Energy strongly preferred.
  • Superior technical writing skills and knowledge of the RFI/SS/RFQ/RFP proposal process required.
  • Proven organizational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under rigid time constraints and deadlines.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in related field.
  • Proficiency with all MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, Office 365.
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively under pressure.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast paced work setting.
  • Basic understanding of the industry, with the ability to become a subject matter expert.
