Job Summary
Responsible for the efficient operation of a moderate or high complexity laboratory facility in an outpatient office or satellite hospital. Ensures accurate and timely testing procedures. Assures compliance with applicable regulations regarding laboratory operations. Participates in site specific daily operations, communications and patient flow.Accountabilities
SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
\u00A0\u00A0Job has direct and/or indirect supervision of team members that may include final budget authority, hire/termination authority, performance appraisal responsibility and disciplinary authority.\u00A0 Job will be considered a member of management staff at Prisma Health Company or affiliate and will have direct reports.
Minimum Requirements
Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology; Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution preferred or one that meets ASCP or AMT certification.
Four years Clinical Laboratory experience
Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses
Certification must be current for one of the following: MLS(ASCP)cm, MT(ASCP), Categorical (ASCP), Categorical (ASCP)cm MT(AMT) , MLT (ASCP), MLT(ASCP)cm
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Compose correspondence, coordinate events/meetings, excellent human relations/ interpersonal skills, excellent oral/written communication skills, interview skills
Data entry
Lab equipment and testing
Basic computer skills
Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier)
Proficient computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets)
