At Cognizant Digital Engineering, a small cross functional team comprised of a Product Manager, an Architect, Full-Stack Developers, UI/UX designers and Big Data analysts builds higher quality software faster siloed individuals working independently. Across our US Studio system or within client development sites, our Digital Engineering teams ideate and develop innovative cloud-based solutions following a Lean-Agile process with DevOps culture. The Role:
Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative .Python/AWS Engineer to serve our diverse base of global clients. As a member of our team, you will build brand new, cloud-based software that powers modern business. An ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a diverse, collaborative, geographically distributed team. Similarly, the ideal candidate is an experienced engineer who values the "team", drives continuous improvement and is unafraid to challenge the legacy status quo with creative cloud-based solutions.
You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Location: Fort Mill, SC.
*Candidate is required to be in the office 3 days a week*
Responsibilities:
Understanding Requirements from JIRA stories
Following Agile ceremonies
Developing Python based AWS Lambda functions
Design unit test cases in Python
Working in PostgreSQL database
Working in AWS services like Lambda, Cloudwatch, SQS, Open search, API gateway, IAM
Developing terraform scripts to create AWS entities
Support applications developed in .NET Core and .NET framework, and SQL Server
Working in source control tools like GIT
Using Swagger for API documentation
Qualifications
7 years of experience as a Senior Developer including designing and implementing complex systems from scratch
5 years of experience working with AWS data models
API design, API development.
Full stack developer with 5 years of experience
Developing Python based AWS lambda functions.
IAM, Event Bridge, SQS, Open Search, Cloud Watch, Xray, KMS, Secret manager.
Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until 5/29/2024
The annual salary for this position is between $99K - $155K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
