Quality Planner:

  • Serves as the interface between product and process design for the new project underbody parts, including Assembly processes and FMK chain evaluations.
  • Steers all quality related topics during PEP to the series launch.
  • Leads the Methods team in developing the geometric quality of the Underbody single parts and process.
  • Ensures and is responsible for the PQM solutions.
  • Steers and directs parts buy-off.
  • Ensures the process deviations during/for process buy-off.
  • Steers dimensional analysis, problem solving and improvement activity to reach FMK targets.
  • Coordinates launch changes to FMK chains for body shop.
  • Performs problem analysis, pre-planning measurement capacity and measurement workload.
  • Participates in SE Team to finalize launch product problem solving and launch viability.
  • Determines body shop corrective actions.
  • Initiates the QV creation and coordinates with the process partners.
  • Steers and coordinates all external dimensional activity from the automated fit line through final assembly.
  • Ensures Target measures for ABB (Aufbaubock) structure and exterior skin processes.
  • Leads the measurement rounds/product rounds for body in white.
  • Coordinates with QMT concerning large supplied (bought) parts.
  • Performs body in white and painted body analysis.
  • Steers and is responsible for solutions for process topics concerning geometry in the PQM.
  • Understands and models VPS (Value Added Production System) Principles and concepts of Standard Work and Problem Solving.
  • Adheres to 5S and Safety Standards and Principles.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications
  • BS degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline or the equivalent of 4 years of experience in manufacturing, quality or product/design.
  • 2+ years of product and/or process development experience in a press shop or body assembly environment.
  • 2+ years of experience in a product dimensional quality or metrology role.
  • 2+ years of experience integrating with internal and external customers in international environment.
  • 1+ years of experience with product launch or product quality maturation.
  • 2+ years of planning skills, preferably in an automotive or Body Shop planning environment.
  • 2+ years of knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • 2+ years of strategic thinking skills.
  • 1+ years of Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook).
  • 1+ years of project management skills.
  • 1+ years of business administration skills, including budget and capacity planning.
  • Intermediate German language skills (preferred).
  • Basic SAP skills.
  • Basic knowledge of CAx Tools that support the Manufacturing Engineering process (preferred).
