Job Title: Industrial Facilities and Utilities Technician

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Maintenance Technician with a high level of aptitude with Industrial HVAC Systems and peripheral sub-systems; competent with air compressors; fire suppression systems; and general facilities maintenance. Maintain, install, remove, construct and repair facility and equipment. Ensure safe, effective, efficient, continuous plant operation through proactive maintenance and reliability processes. Minimize scheduled and unscheduled downtimes. Support a predictive, failure elimination, data-based organization to maximize up time on facilities equipment. This position requires high level skills with all mechanical disciplines and some level of electrical competency.

Job Type:Full-time

Plant Environment:The OC Aiken facility is not climate controlled. With industrial ovens as part of our process, the manufacturing floor temperature is susceptible to the heat or cold of the outdoors. The facility is also unionized.

Shift Schedule:8 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday

Starting Pay: $34.93/hour paid weekly

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform daily rounds inspections on various facilities and utilities type equipment and enter notifications based upon findings within SAP
  • Perform various preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance on facilities equipment
  • Troubleshooting and resolve HVAC systems; chill water systems; air compressors; and cooling towers
  • General facilities work to include fire suppression systems, and general plumbing - pump stations; supply lines; drain lines
  • Coordinate with contractors on systems repairs and projects, specifically HVAC & Air Compressors contractors
  • Manage air compressor oil sampling program by taking samples and sending them for analysis.
  • Maintain sample equipment/supply stocks
  • Coordinate with compressor service contractor to retrieve oil samples and any specific maintenance requirements
  • Maintain 5S conditions in compressor room
  • Perform follow up data collection on any contractor serviced equipment
  • Must possess a complete set of basic mechanic tools with a roll-around-tool box
  • Must be available for on-call and emergency situations

JOB REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma
  • HVAC Certification Required - must show proof of certification
  • Five years industrial maintenance/facilities experience

  • SAP experience
  • Natural Gas experience
  • Air Compressor experience
  • Chilled Water and Cooling Tower experience
  • Plumbing experience
  • General facilities experience
