S&ME is seeking a leader to manage a team of construction materials field technicians supporting aviation projects throughout the Charlotte area. If you have a background in construction materials testing with leadership experience or are eager to move into a leadership role, supervising, training, and mentoring a growing team of field staff, then join us in Charlotte, NC as our Field Services Manager.


Your Day-to-Day:


As a Field Services Manager, you'll oversee a team of construction materials testing field technicians and inspectors, ensuring the smooth operation and quality of testing and inspection services on aviation projects. Your role is pivotal in maintaining project schedules, coordinating with clients and contractors, and upholding safety standards.


  • Supervise and support technical field staff in testing and inspection services.
  • Coordinate work schedules with clients and contractors to meet service, technical, and quality requirements.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on proposals and prequalification's.
  • Facilitate staff training and development, ensuring compliance with certification and credentialing requirements.

What You Bring:

  • A High School diploma or GED
  • 4+ years experience in construction materials testing, or a Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience in construction materials testing
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and/or internal duties simultaneously
  • Effective communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing), using the English language
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and outside normal business hours when necessary
  • Ability to routinely lift and carry 40-50lbs (field/laboratory samples and equipment)
