We are currently hiring for an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Milwaukee, WI

Founded in 1999, Progressive Community Health Centers is an independent non-profit organization that operates four clinic locations in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. More than 100 employees support our agency's mission to improve the health and quality of life of the community by providing culturally competent services that address identified needs. We provide high quality, comprehensive care to roughly 16,000 patients annually, a majority of who are low-income. No one is ever turned away from our clinics based on insurance status or ability to pay. We value a patient-centered philosophy and provide range of services that include family medicine, internal medicine, women's health, urgent care, dental, radiology and integrated behavioral health. We also offer supportive services such as case management, health education and benefits enrollment.

What will you do?
The Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant provide patient services, under the direct supervision of a licensed physician. Will elicit detailed medical history, perform a physical exam, perform diagnostic procedures and carry on therapies appropriate for patient's diagnosis and treatment. Reaches tentative diagnosis and conducts appropriate plan of treatment. Provides counseling to patients and family on health disease, as well as coordinates medical care through multi-disciplinary team.

What do you need to qualify?
  1. Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program
  2. Currently licensed in the state of Wisconsin.
  3. Board Eligibility required. Board Certification, a plus.
  4. A minimum of three years Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant experience in a Family Medicine setting, required.
